About the work
What is Creative Counselling?
“Creative approaches offer the inner subconscious an outlet for expression.” — Ani de la Prida
Creative Counselling is something akin to Art Therapy — though I'm not an Art Therapist. First and foremost, I'm your counsellor. I also happen to be an artist, so it's natural for me to think creatively and visually when working with clients.
Who it suits
For some people, working creatively fits really well. It can help with unconscious processes, or with using physical materials and making images when words and talking alone don't quite reach something.
For other people, working creatively isn't the right fit — and that's completely fine too. Nothing creative is ever required, and you don't need any skill or experience in art.
What stays the same
However we end up working together, I'll be there as a non-judgemental ear to help you process your feelings and experiences, and make positive changes in your life.
